Make it happen

Since I was a kid, I've always dreamed of becoming one of the finest and greatest doctors of all time. I don't know, but there's a part of me that tells me I should strive hard to become one because you see, in our nation right now, there's so much pain, there's so much poverty. Many of our countrymen really need medical assistance, but cannot afford to have one.

So right now, I plan that when I go to college, I'll take my medicine-related course which is Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. Then if God permits, if I graduate until I become a doctor, I'll do anything to help everyone, especially, those who really need help. I'm really excited of what the future would give to me. Our future is uncertain but we have to take thousands of risks to reach our goals and dreams. But for a dream to be reached, it has to be tested. Whatever tomorrow brings I'll be there with open arms and open eyes.

CHANGE..

Anyone, anywhere and anytime can start an initiative of change. Be the change you want to see in the world. Change s
tarts within ourselves. "Take a look at yourself, and make a change," as one song says. All meaningful and lasting change starts on the inside and works its way out. Change will not come if we keep on waiting for others. We are the ones we have been waiting for. We are the change that we've been seeking for a long time.

For the past 16 years of my life, I have looked at myself in the mirror every morning and said to myself, "I need to change something in my life." If you want to see change around you, start within yourself. They say time changes things, but actually, you have to change them yourself.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

The end is near. I hope it's not.

The end is near. I mean, not the end of everything. We only have two months left. I need not to mention what's it. I want to cherish every moment right now. As in, every single moment. It will soon be over.

So, for this past grading period, we kinda discussed and did some exercises and activities about putting background colors, images, hyperlinks, how to use the MS FrontPage, etc. Our teacher also gave us a project wherein we will make a, uhm a web page or web design whatever from the activity we did which is somewhat a documentary about the tourist destinations in Vigan. I'm kinda nervous because until now, I do think that it's still not finished. Damn.

It's a good feeling that I didn't miss many of my classes because in the previous grading periods, I barely know anything because of so many distractions and obligations at school.

A part of me is excited and a part of me is somewhat uneasy because our high school life is near to end. I know in myself that it would be hard to let go, it's the hardest part when you're so much attached with people whom you love so much. I don't say this much personally, but, I love my classmates, I love my friends, my teachers, all of them who made this chapter of my life, extravagantly beautiful. I love everything about high school. Crushes, lessons, naah, laughter, friends, teachers (funny ones) and experiences.  Sigh.

New Year, New Life..

Every year, we set new goals for ourselves. Goals that can make us better individuals for the coming years of our lives. We often say to ourselves "What will the next twelve months of trials and challenges hold in store for me? What would I do to become a better person? Am I ready for this next chapter of my life?"

The start of a new year is a good moment to reflect all of the happenings, all of the blessings we have received for the past years. It's a moment for reflection on the nature of our present condition. Let's take a moment to think about who and what we've gotten to see and experience each and every day of the past year. Let's think of the things that made us happy, that made us grieve, that made us better person.

We can't predict the future, we all know that. As we are right now, for this moment, maybe we should let the future be like that. Maybe we should think that the passing of another year is a reminder that life, is going to be better and better.

The Essence of Christmas

It's Christmas season again isn't it? By the way, what is Christmas? It is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. A time for us to understand the lessons from Jesus and reflect on them. A time for sharing, giving, forgiving, and thanksgiving.

For me, the real spirit of Christmas is that of giving and sharing. Sharing what you have to people is one of the best feelings in the world because you give smile and hope to those people you are sharing with.

In today's time, it is now easy to lose sight of the true meaning of Christmas. Amidst the beautiful gifts, delicious meals, yummy drinks, family, let us try not to forget about Jesus. As we celebrate, we should also remember that it is a time to thank God for sending His one and only son to us. Furthermore, it is a time to share God's goodness and blessings to others.

CLIMATE CHANGE

What is climate change by the way? It refers to an increase in average global temperatures. Natural events and man made activities are believed to be contributing to an increase in the temperature. Climate change is now widely recognized as the major environmental problem facing the globe.

As we can see, this climate change has already cause many phenomenons that are conquering our country just like the Super Typhoon Yolanda that hit the Visayas, weeks ago. It was believed that it was because of climate change that made it so strong that it killed approximately 9-10 thousand people and destroyed almost the cities of Tacloban, Samar, etc. No one of us wants to suffer more because of climate change. We must know our responsibilities and duties to preserve and protect our Nature. We must act now before it's too late. We don't want the next generation to suffer like we did.

EQUAL RIGHTS, EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES

Each and everyone of us have rights. We are all born naked, meaning, we are all equal. Whether we are poor or rich, that doesn't change anything. Having equal rights means having equal opportunities.

All of us should be treated the same and equally because we are of the same kind, meaning when we have equal rights, we have equal opportunities. Genuine equality between men and women should be present cause it's one important ingredient for a peaceful and productive country. It means, we should avoid discrimination, because it doesn't matter whether we are a male or female, we are all the same, we should have that equal rights for ourselves.

Equal rights and equal opportunities are purely power relationships and they can help in the progress, not only for our selves, but for all.
